With a reputation as "the bar you went to in university", we've been serving Ottawa before it was even Ottawa -- over 160 years!

Our personable and relaxed atmosphere is home to some of Ottawa's performing artists:

Local artist and icon John Carroll every Wednesday evening since November 2004
Open-Mic night, featuring comedy and music, hosted by Birdie Whyte on Tuesday nights
Lucky Ron, local Ottawa legend, every Saturday at 4:00 p.m. since November 1999
Sundays with Birdie Whyte, every Sunday from 5-9pm, since May 2013

We have recently upgraded to a digital internet jukebox, which has access to almost any song you might want to hear.

In 2003, we devoted half of the ground floor to a Quiznos Sub franchise. We welcome customers to purchase a sub and enjoy it with a beer on the pub side, or ask your waiter to order it for you!

We're a simple bar that people have been coming to for years. We're casual and unpretentious, a place where people can be themselves. So, if you're much the same, drop by for a pint!
